Make an
impact on Rebuilding Mt. Rose

Founded by community members directly affected, our mission is to connect and build trails through the open spaces affected by the Davis Creek fire. Working with the county and the local community, we aim to create new trails, rebuild, maintain and enhance this special area that connects Nevada’s regional parks, open spaces and the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Re-plant, Remove Burned Trees and Re-build

At RebuildRose.org, our mission is to rebuild the Mt. Rose burn zones from the 2024 Davis Creek fire. We are a group of volunteers fundraising for building a new and improved trail network throughout the Mt Rose corridor and the surrounding lake tahoe area. We are currently raising funds and awareness to take care of the existing forest, clear burned and down trees, plant new trees and be custodians of a trail network to enjoy this area for future generations. With a plan and enough funds and volunteers we can regrow the forest and be caretakers to prevent future fires and enjoy these wild spaces once again.

Investing in rebuilding open spaces and constructing new trail networks in burn areas for the community

With funding for an interconnected trail development in the burn area, we can connect official multi-use trails with city parks like Sky Tavern, regional parks like Davis Creek and the Galena Creek parks through the burn area. The time for investing in Nevada’s multi-use trail networks is now. Long term trail planning starts here, as the forest regrows, lets invest in recovering this area for future generations. Our kids are growing up here, we care deeply that they can experience this forest in new ways. They will never get to experience all of what it used to be, but perhaps we can envision something that future generations can enjoy in new ways. Together we can rebuild this area and make it more accessible than it ever was.
